Not sure if any of you saw Sky Sports News a couple of weeks ago but they did a feature on Pilates and sports people. Ryan Giggs was interviewed and they mentioned that the England 20/20 cricket captain, Paul Collingwood had made a DVD with his trainer. That trainer was me! A clip of my DVD (taken from You Tube) with Paul was then played all over Sky Sports News! Famous for 15 minutes! wow!
I have just been informed by CYQ that there will be a further extension to the current Pilates syllabus to December 2011. The completion has been held up and is still under development.
Many of the qualifications (not just Pilates) are being extended by OFQUAL (Office of Qualification and Examination Regulation) and the delay is due to every qualification undergoing so much change and the volume of writing and review that goes with it. The new Pilates Diploma qualification will not not be available until 2012.
I'm excited to be off to Edinburgh next week to do my Zumba teacher training. I tried it when I was abroad last year when the instructor used it as a warm up in her Pilates class and I loved it, so I’m really looking forward to it.
